DEUTSCHEumdieWELT.de reflects the versatlity of the German community around the world.

ABOUT YOU - THE GERMAN EMIGRANTS

About 60 Mio. people with German roots live far away from "Father Rhine". The exact number of German emigrants and their descendants - "the German Community around the world" - is not known but approximately 50 Million people are still aware of their German roots in the USA alone.

Hence, describing the Germans around the world Community as "First (virtual) Bundesland" would be appropriate too, considering the number of "inhabitants". Second would be North Rhine-Westphalia with 18 Million people.

If you emigrated you have adjusted to local way of life in your country of residence and if you were born there - which applies to many of you - you keep your German heritage in heart and mind.

Professionally you adhere to German qualities, in societies & clubs you cherish your German heritage and personally you develop creativity in hobbies that often have German roots.
